Nankama Drum & Dance celebrates rhythm and movement.
Nankama (which means “Born to Drum”) is a West African Drum and Dance troupe, lead by Master Rhythm Instructor Bobby Bovenzi.
Nankama has performed throughout the Okanagan in over 300 shows since 2007. Members of the troupe are keen students of drum and dance and study very hard to make sure they are representing these traditional rhythms in a way the Masters of Africa have intended.
Nankama has assisted many organizations to fundraise over $100K for countries in Africa, Women in Need and the homeless here in Canada.
